DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next TeamTony Lifestyle Wellness Session: Pain Management for Those Living with Cancer and Beyond.  Michelle Obi\, Board Certified in Oncologic Physical Therapy\, will discuss the descriptions of different types of pain and their potential causes related to cancer and its treatment. The presentation will also cover pain management strategies that can be implemented independently (after discussion with your care team) as well as those that require additional medical intervention and guidance whether through a physician or other health care provider. There will be time for questions during and at the end of the presentation.

Caring for someone with cancer comes with various emotional\, physical and logistical challenges. While the caregiver is grateful to help and support the individual facing cancer\, he or she may experience emotional strain\, physical exhaustion\, financial stress\, isolation\, and impacts on mental health. \nEnsuring the caregiver gets the support they need is a focus of TeamTony Cancer Foundation. \nHeld on the 3rd Monday of each month\, our Caregiver Coffee Connection will be an opportunity for those caring for a cancer fighter to come together over a cup of coffee or tea and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving. \nRSVP kelly@teamtony.org or 941-227-4404.
