Local, award-winning gospel band, Truality, is partnering with Trinity Youth and Families, Inc. and Exodus Community Resources, Inc. to present their 1st Annual “Shout It Out – Cancer Free!” benefit concert on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at SCF Neel Performing Arts Center.  A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit Team Tony Cancer Foundation, a Sarasota-based nonprofit organization that provides free peer-to-peer cancer support and resources to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers in the local community, and Sarasota Prostate Initiative, a Sarasota-based nonprofit organization that increases awareness of diagnostic and treatment options available to men with prostate disease, and guides and supports them through their journey. Come celebrate the 6th annual Chocolate Fest sponsored by Advocate Radiation Oncology and The Port Charlotte Town Center Mall. 100% of proceeds from this event will benefit the Children's Cancer Center! At the Chocolate Fest, you can visit various participating local vendors and taste chocolate confections and speciality creations! Grab your to-go box upon entrance to fulfill those chocolate cravings. Some of this year's food vendors include tastings from local restaurants, country clubs, and bakeries in the Port Charlotte area. Last year, Chocolate Fest raised close to $5,000 for the immediate needs of local children and their families battling pediatric cancer. Sharky's 20th Annual Ride the Beaches is scheduled for Sunday, April 28th! This awesome ride, organized by our great friends at Sharky's On the Pier benefits the Team Tony Cancer Foundation, Livestrong Foundation and Friends of the Legacy Trail. Choose from 15, 35 or 70 miles and enjoy breakfast and lunch provided by Sharky's on the Pier. Every adult should be empowered to create, communicate, and have their medical care wishes honored; the information presented in this Lifestyle Wellness Session can help you.  We will focus on choosing a healthcare surrogate, making medical choices, and defining what a full life means to you.
