The official Fundraiser Party for TeamTony Cancer Foundation is a fun, hip, and entertaining evening that includes creative cuisine, live music, and phenomenal silent and live auction items.
In Florida, over 100,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. At TeamTony, we believe that no one should have to fight cancer alone. Our mission is to provide free peer-to-peer cancer support and resources to cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers in our local community.
When someone hears the words “you have cancer,” everything changes. The fear. The unknown. The
weight of it all. In that moment, connection becomes a lifeline—and that’s where you come in.
JACKETS and JEANS benefits TeamTony Cancer Foundation’s critical mission of providing free peer-to-peer cancer support and resources. Our peer-to-peer mentoring program matches a trained volunteer cancer survivor with a recently diagnosed cancer patient or caregiver who is in need of support. Referred to as a Teammate, a TeamTony volunteer mentor is someone who can relate to the newly diagnosed cancer patient or caregiver. TeamTony Teammates offer support, knowledge, encouragement, and inspiration every step of the way.
By joining us at this year’s Jackets and Jeans event, you help ensure no one on Florida’s Suncoast has to face cancer alone. Your support fuels:
• Peer-to-peer mentoring, where cancer fighters are matched with trained survivor mentors who offer
strength and understanding
• Medical Assistance Grants, easing the burden of treatment with up to $2,000 in annual support
• Grief and group support programs, providing space to process and connect through shared
experience
• Our Lifestyle Wellness Series, featuring expert-led talks, meditation, and healing workshops
• Caregiver resources, including monthly Caregiver Coffee gatherings that offer relief and connection
This isn’t just support. It’s dignity. It’s hope. It’s being seen and held during one of life’s hardest seasons.
Thanks to our community, we’ve already provided over $400,000 in financial aid and supported more
than 1,000 individuals across Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. Every dollar, every moment of
connection, begins with someone like you deciding to make a difference.
