Stitch, Knit & Chat is a group of cancer survivors and friends who get together to sew, knit and quilt for Sarasota area cancer organizations or sometimes we just chat.  Come de-stress and socialize while knitting, crocheting or sewing with others for others.  Materials provided or bring your own. Meets the second Monday of each month from 10:00am to noon at Team Tony Cancer Connection Center (3562 S Osprey Ave, Suite C, Sarasota FL 34239) or join via Zoom. Team Tony Cancer Foundation recognizes the impact a cancer diagnosis has on everyone - the patient, their family and their friends. Caring for someone with cancer comes with various emotional, physical and logistical challenges. While the caregiver is grateful to help and support the individual facing cancer, he or she may experience emotional strain, physical exhaustion, financial stress, isolation, and impacts on mental health. Ensuring the caregiver gets the support they need is a focus of Team Tony Cancer Foundation. Held on the 3rd Monday of each month, our Caregiver Coffee Connection will be an opportunity for those caring for a cancer fighter to come together over a cup of coffee or tea and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving. Our 9th Annual JACKETS and JEANS Party will feature entertainment by The Boomers Live the Sixties at Michael’s on East on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 6:30pm to whenever the band stops playing. The night will include creative cuisine, music, dancing, silent and live auction packages, and 300 guests thrilled to not be at another black-tie event.
