Team Tony Cancer Foundation recognizes the impact a cancer diagnosis has on everyone - the patient, their family and their friends. Caring for someone with cancer comes with various emotional, physical and logistical challenges. While the caregiver is grateful to help and support the individual facing cancer, he or she may experience emotional strain, physical exhaustion, financial stress, isolation, and impacts on mental health. Ensuring the caregiver gets the support they need is a focus of Team Tony Cancer Foundation. Held on the 3rd Monday of each month, our Caregiver Coffee Connection will be an opportunity for those caring for a cancer fighter to come together over a cup of coffee or tea and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving. It’s a time to slow down, breathe deep, and share quiet connection with others who understand that wellness isn’t just about the body—it’s about the heart and mind, too. Whether you’re a longtime friend or stepping into the Cancer Connection Center for the first time, you’re welcome here. Grief is a universal human experience that affects us all. Join Team Tony and our friend, Kelly Garrett of Tidewell, as we discover the significance of rituals in honoring life to the journey of understanding grief as we navigate the essence of being present and listening to our loved ones. Stitch, Knit & Chat is a group of cancer survivors and friends who get together to sew, knit and quilt for Sarasota area cancer organizations or sometimes we just chat.  Come de-stress and socialize while knitting, crocheting or sewing with others for others.  Materials provided or bring your own. Meets the second Monday of each month from 10:00am to noon at Team Tony Cancer Connection Center (3562 S Osprey Ave, Suite C, Sarasota FL 34239) or join via Zoom. This April 15-16, TeamTony Cancer Foundation is joining the Giving Challenge 2026—a 24-hour online giving event that unites nearly 700 nonprofits and thousands of community members across Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Our goal: $20,000 to support our Medical Assistance Program, which helps cancer fighters cover the hidden costs of treatment—from transportation to medications and more.
