In the moments that follow, fear, uncertainty, and isolation can feel overwhelming. But imagine someone reaching out and saying, “I’ve been there. I understand. You are not alone.”
That simple human connection is at the heart of TeamTony Cancer Foundation.
Founded right here on Florida’s Suncoast by brain cancer survivor Tony McEachern, TeamTony exists to ensure that no one in our community faces cancer alone. Through free person-to-person support, financial assistance, wellness programming, and caregiver resources, we walk beside cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers during one of life’s most difficult seasons.
Every service we provide is offered free of charge because of the generosity of local businesses, community leaders, and supporters who believe that connection and compassion matter.
Over the past several years, TeamTony has:
* Matched hundreds of cancer fighters and caregivers with trained survivor and caregiver mentors
* Provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical financial assistance to local families
* Created a warm, welcoming community space where people facing cancer can find support, understanding, and hope

Gran Fondo Sarasota is more than a cycling event. It is a day that brings together riders, families, local businesses, and supporters in a shared commitment to caring for people impacted by cancer across the Suncoast. The event features multiple cycling routes ranging from 33 to 100 miles, a community-friendly 5-mile Cruiser Ride, and a celebratory Finish Line Party with food, music, and connection.
