Team Tony Cancer Foundation recognizes the impact a cancer diagnosis has on everyone - the patient, their family and their friends. Caring for someone with cancer comes with various emotional, physical and logistical challenges. While the caregiver is grateful to help and support the individual facing cancer, he or she may experience emotional strain, physical exhaustion, financial stress, isolation, and impacts on mental health. Ensuring the caregiver gets the support they need is a focus of Team Tony Cancer Foundation. Held on the 3rd Monday of each month, our Caregiver Coffee Connection will be an opportunity for those caring for a cancer fighter to come together over a cup of coffee or tea and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving. Discover the four essential dietary strategies that can support both prevention and treatment—including building a balanced plate, optimizing gut health, ensuring adequate protein, and staying well-hydrated. Ashley will also share how her Elevated Plate Method can help stabilize blood sugar, strengthen the immune system, and reduce inflammation. You’ll leave with clear, practical tools to protect your cells, promote healing, and feel empowered to take an active role in your health. Are you ready for another fun and hip evening benefiting the Team Tony Cancer Foundation? Our 9th Annual JACKETS and JEANS Party will feature entertainment by The Boomers Live the Sixties at Michael’s on East on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 6:30pm to whenever the band stops playing. The night will include creative cuisine, music, dancing, silent and live auction packages, and 300 guests thrilled to not be at another black-tie event.

Grief is a universal human experience that affects us all. Join Team Tony and our friend, Kelly Garrett of Tidewell, as we discover the significance of rituals in honoring life to the journey of understanding grief as we navigate the essence of being present and listening to our loved ones. Stitch, Knit & Chat is a group of cancer survivors and friends who get together to sew, knit and quilt for Sarasota area cancer organizations or sometimes we just chat.  Come de-stress and socialize while knitting, crocheting or sewing with others for others.  Materials provided or bring your own. This April 15-16, TeamTony Cancer Foundation is joining the Giving Challenge 2026—a 24-hour online giving event that unites nearly 700 nonprofits and thousands of community members across Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Our goal: $20,000 to support our Medical Assistance Program, which helps cancer fighters cover the hidden costs of treatment—from transportation to medications and more. Join us for our Lifestyle Wellness Series as Kacee Picot, Integrative Hypnotic Coach, shares insights on The Mind-Body Power of Resilience and how simple mind-body techniques can help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and support emotional balance. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to reconnect with inner strength and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience. This session is open to cancer fighters, survivors, caregivers, and anyone seeking tools for well-being and healing.

Join us as we gather for one of our favorite monthly traditions—Team Tony Community Meditation - led by LeeAnne Moody. It’s a time to slow down, breathe deep, and share quiet connection with others who understand that wellness isn’t just about the body—it’s about the heart and mind, too. Whether you’re a longtime friend or stepping into the Cancer Connection Center for the first time, you’re welcome here. You’ve been matched with a Support Seeker. Now what? On the one hand, you’re happy that you can support someone through their cancer journey so they’re not alone. On the other hand, you wonder if you have the skills to be a helpful, supportive volunteer Teammate. This fun, informative, and educational training will help you gain confidence and support you in your role as a Team Tony Teammate. Training presented by Lori Kayser, Leadership/Cancer Coach and C.O.O, Xperience, LLC Lori is Co-founder of Team Tony Cancer Foundation, a Leadership Coach, Cancer Coach, and C.O.O. at Xperience, LLC. She spent 20 years in corporate America, 15 of those as a Financial Advisor. She felt a calling to change careers to coaching and supporting individuals through challenge after overcoming her own adversity.
